Yikes, quit with the yelling, no one appreciates a screamer, especially one that makes little to no sense.

Hmmm.... Not bad, felt as if I was planning for a mission to some base, or as if this was a scene where a main character would be in a battle for their life. The pace of your song is consistent, nice, rich, music is not about being logical, but emotional, being willing to close your eyes and reach into yourself. Reaching in and letting your imagination run free, don't let those who don't encourage get you down, instead look towards what you feel you can improve.

With that aside, I would like to know what program did you use to make a wonderful song such as this, if you don't want to say that's okay as well. But I like your song, it's not as Cinematic as one would think but it has it's moments, the piano is a hard instrument to use in some cases but I feel that it works in your piece. Good job, a 10/10 for your hard work, keep at it. -Stray.

DESHIEL responds:

First of all, thank you for taking some time to review my track.

It's true that I wanted this to be emotional to some point and I am glad that It has succeded.
I know how to improve and where I've slacked off, because my creation process is always very short and I usualy compose simply to get the idea out of my head and I don't spend much time making it soun cool, I usualy wrap things up to sound "listenable". Let's blame that on my lack of motivation, because I simply don't have any reason to spend more than 2-4 hours on a track, unless I enter some contest or compose for some project.

I used fruity loops for the creation.
Sure thing that for some of you the only cinematic thing is the heavy string and perhaps the piano at some point. But seriously, I could care less if it was actualy techno or hip-hop.

I only listened to movie and trailer soundtracks on youtube so I am not very educated in proper classical/ cinematec/ whatsoever composition and it's laws. I simply do what I like to do and who knows maybe one day I will actualy read a book about it. ;)

I don't believe I have heard any of your songs before, but this kind of hit me in a big way. The piano is a great instrument to use as I myself would love to play it someday. The strings were a wonderful touch throughout the whole song. I myself can imagine why this was called Retreat, a battle lost, friends gone or missing, loved ones never coming back...

I implore you that you continue to make songs such as these, and remember to never give up or surrender on anything. Never retreat, never surrender... I give you a 10/10 for actually making me emotional.

Thank you for a great review. I will continue making music that will capture the emotions of being human.

Very, very good my friend. Nothing makes me want to want to look over my shoulder more than this little piece right here. Especially this close to Halloween, mmm, the shivers, this is a very delicious piece. The music for this loop is wonderful, like GewoonAyoub said, it does have a jungle-sh vibe to it, are they snare drums? The synths added to the atmosphere, of what you already had, and the violin at the end was the perfect choice. I downloaded it, and giving you a score for 10/10. Also, if you can, try to make something like this in the future longer, it would go great with a delightful piece of paranoia. Seconds?

HellSpawnIV responds:

The drums are off a VST library called Stormdrums (1 or 2, i forget). I'm not sure what kind of drums exactly they were, but they were definitely hit with brush sticks. I'll also think about making longer loops, but my only problem is i don't necessarily want to waste too much time making these loop pieces unless i know they'll be used. Thank you for the review and vote, i appreciate it! :)

Good song, seems that you have been working harder on it. Sounds seems turned down around 00:15, the beats sound more like techno then classical or even more electric. Synths, never been a big fan of them, but what I hear is that you are combining this chaos of music, the beats, the synths, the main back round music, somehow ties in toward the end. Must say, you have are good, but remember to always keep your flow from becoming choppy, don't halt when you are adding instruments to what you have or take away, and make sure to always have fun making more. 4.5/5 and 9.5/10.

devotedone responds:

ty for the constructive critisizm nainly the reason that my music seems dull is becuase i dont know how to do that much in fl studio and im still figuring all i can do inside the program.

Interesting, yes a cover of the music of the Dark Knight Rising, what program did you use to make this by the way? I would say that yes it conveys what the music from the movie has to say, yes you did surprisingly pull it off with little to no halts in your piece. The flow felt natural for most of it, a little forced around 2:50, but again well done. I shall keep an ear out for you, as you do have talent, which I want to hear more of. 5/5 10/10.

neyus99 responds:

Thank you for listening. I'm glad you enjoyed it at the same time gave me some criticism. So you pointed out that around 2:50 it sounded force, were you talking about the way it ended before hitting the next transition?

The program I used was Cubase and the instruments included East West Symphonic Orchestra Gold, Massive and Battery 3.

A tad staticy throughout the whole song, I guess that is to be expected with my crappy headphones, the static gets drowned out in the parts where it is the loudest. But as I listen to this song you have created, it transports me to the day when life is again abounding with love and happiness. The conveying sense of wondering what to do next has been felt, made my arm hairs stand on end. The sweet flow is wonderful, like the never ending flow of a soft, musical river. Again, timing on this is excellent, piano, a great instrument to play and you did it very superb. I have nothing but praise for your music every time I listen. 5/5 10/10 and favored.

NordicHazard responds:

i really appreciate the description you wrote, makes me happy althought i still didn't make up my mind. I think the piano and the strings are the best instruments to pull emotions out of somebody, those feelings you transform in melodies, feelings you can't just say with words, it isn't powerfull enough. I hope i can bring you more music to enjoy! thanks

Oh, to hear such a beautiful song again, the way this brings back memories with your short description, my dear sir, thank you. Alright, the piano mixed with another piano or strings, is amazing. The pace was nice, not to fast or slow, but right on the money, the flow is wonderful, the best I've heard since listening to slow, creepy piano music. At the end, you really tied it all together like a bow on a Christmas present, I love it. 5/5 10/10 and favored.

NordicHazard responds:

thanks! i'm happy if my pieces give emotions, that's all i ask!

Oh man I wasn't even prepared for what I am now listening to. You truly made me feel at home here in the snow and the cold. I had the original song downloaded and I can't help but smile as you defiantly added a spice to the music. I will be looking forward to more of your work, and I feel that I won't be disappointed by what I find next. 10/10 5/5.

DiroNomer responds:

Thanks man. If you like, check out some of my other stuff too. :D

Hmmm....

Very good sirs, I think what you were both trying to say through the music has reached your audience. It is very much like Final Fantasy and maybe hopefully they would put this in a future game of theirs. Anyways good luck and hopefully I can hear more of this delicious music in the future.

I play the games watch the movies and I love everything, Now go away before I eat you.
